Lollipop's Mom Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Anyone have any ideas? The first one puzzles me because of 'children's program'.Thanks.
footloose Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Hi, I don't see any hotels listed on your post. Which hotwire listings are you wondering about? I am looking on Hotwire at the Burbank-Universal City area for August. One of the listings is for a 3* for $69 with this list of amenities:Fitness CenterPoolRestaurantLaundryTennis NearbyChildren's ProgramThe children's program has kind of thrown me off, too. I'm wondering if this could be a Holiday Inn since they have a "Kids Eat Free" program. Has anyone out there had any experience with a Hotwire reservation that included the children's program icon? Please help!

ghoulgirl1 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 This has me a little stymied, too. The newly renamed Burbank Marriott doesn't have anything that's really kid friendly. The only place that seems to remotely fit the bill is the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn as they do have play equipment. Generally speaking, this hotel isn't all that great and overrated, but meets Hotwire's criteria. I'd say proceed with caution and also check out the websites for the Universal Sheraton and Universal Hilton. I've stayed at both, but only won the Sheraton thru Hotwire. The Hilton is nice, but the Sheraton is very much in need of a facelift. Good luck!

Lollipop's Mom Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 Does anyone know if they do a flat rate to go from LAX to a hotel in studio city? Or if not a flat rate, what it might cost (around 3:30 pm on a Thursday afternoon - probably hitting rush hour?). I can use super shuttle for $40 for the 2 of us, but really hate using them, and only will as a last resort. I find they circle the airport forever loading up their van, and 3 hours later you arrive at your hotel.
