dmorgan3 Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 I am a new member of this board and I am looking at making my first Priceline bid ever. I need a double room in Amsterdam for 2 nights, 2/24 & 2/25/2007, and want to stay in the city center. I have spent some time reading through this board, and thereuare mentioned in a pinned post that a good way to get advice for a specific bid is to post in the applicable forum. After reviewing the recent postings in this Priceline-Other Countries forum, I think I should bid $93 for a 4* hotel, and will probably end up with the Hotel Amsterdam De Roode Leeuw. Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
thereuare Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! If by a "double room" you mean a room that can accomodate two people, then you should be fine; if you mean a room with two beds then that is something you can't guarantee thru priceline... is that ok for your plans?I also would not put a probability on the De Roode Leeuw as there are other 4* hotels in the zone, and this particular hotel has rates a bit higher than usual for your specific dates above. If you're able to accept the above room conditions, you don't have any re-bid zones available, and i would probably recommend starting with an $85 bid.Let usk now if you try it and how it goes, or if you have any additional questions regarding the above. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
