I am a new member of this board and I am looking at making my first Priceline bid ever. I need a double room in Amsterdam for 2 nights, 2/24 & 2/25/2007, and want to stay in the city center. I have spent some time reading through this board, and thereuare mentioned in a pinned post that a good way to get advice for a specific bid is to post in the applicable forum. After reviewing the recent postings in this Priceline-Other Countries forum, I think I should bid $93 for a 4* hotel, and will probably end up with the Hotel Amsterdam De Roode Leeuw. Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to BetterBidding!

If by a "double room" you mean a room that can accomodate two people, then you should be fine; if you mean a room with two beds then that is something you can't guarantee thru priceline... is that ok for your plans?

I also would not put a probability on the De Roode Leeuw as there are other 4* hotels in the zone, and this particular hotel has rates a bit higher than usual for your specific dates above.

If you're able to accept the above room conditions, you don't have any re-bid zones available, and i would probably recommend starting with an $85 bid.

Let usk now if you try it and how it goes, or if you have any additional questions regarding the above.
