My first venture into Priceline bidding. I prefer to spend @ 85.00 for a room near the cruise port and Bayside market. The check in date is April 15, 2007 and check out the next day.

First bid: Downtown $29.00 rejected (I just had to try a lowball figure)

2nd bid: Dadeland $64.00 rejected

3rd bid: North Miami $66.00 rejected

4th bid: Miami Lakes $74.00 rejected

5th bid South Beach $81.00 rejected

6th bid Southwest Miami $85.00 rejected

At the last bid with taxes, the price was up to almost $105.00. All suggestions appreciated (I'd prefer to keep the 4* rating. How high do I have to go? Perhaps I should wait another few weeks and re-bid? :)

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Rates for your dates are not that high (the Hyatt is only $159/nite). I would probably raise my bid by another $5 just to try to be done with it... if that failed i would then continue trying once or twice a week.

HOTWIRE has a 4* offered for $119/nite so you're probably not too far off with your current bids. Of course the risk of waiting is that rates go up instead of down.
