reedj Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Listed as: Customer Favorite. "This distinctive establishment offers comfortable rooms, personal service, and some upscale features." Amenities: Fitness, Business, Restaurant, HSIAlso gives 3 customer reviews. The first begins with "The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful...."One of the reviews says "fabulous location, right in the center of shopping and restaurants along Michigan Avenue...".The Chicago Hotel list gives for Customer favorites in NMA-WT-GC, the Ambassador East at 4* (prev 3.5*) and the Crowne Plaza Allerton at 3* (previously at 3.5*). But there is no current 3.5* customer favorite. Is this hotel likely to be one of these two, and if so, which one? Thanks for any help in advance. By the way, I am new to this site - it, looks great to me.
AaronJB Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I've been looking at this one as well, and I'll bet that it's the Allerton. What *appears* (a 4* w/the same amenities as the AE and a 3/5* tripadvisor rating) to be the Ambassador East is still occasionally seen with the same features. Long story short, I could be wrong, but I'm guessing the Allerton. Doesn't deserve an upgrade, but I can't figure what else it could be.
AaronJB Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 Allerton is now listed as a 4* on Orbitz. An odd turn of events, to say the least.
thereuare Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 The Ambassador East is currently rated 4* by HOTWIRE, the Allerton is currently rated 3.5* and has these amenities... so the Allerton would be our best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
