Priceline Hotel: Hyatt Regency and Doubletree

Hi there

I plan to go down to New York City from March 9th to March 12th(which is three nights total). After I looked through the entire posts on the board. I decided to go with either Doubletree or Hyatt Regency. So I choose 3 star/upscale and Jersey city, and start bidding from 75. However I got turned down all the way from, 75 , 85, 95, 110. I was kind of surprised because the required price is much higher than what I expected.

I think my maximum budget is around 130 but I don't know whether I can make it with that price.

Please let me know what would be the reasonable price for the two hotels during that time(Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night). Also it there any other good and clean hotel(two star would be fine) in jersey which is in walking distance to the Path. Thanks for your help

PS(if you know any good hotel in New York City which also falls into my price range, please let me know)

I've been having similar issues with this region for the dates of 4/4 - 4/7. Tried bidding a few times up to the $90 range and keep getting rejected. Since I have a few months before the trip, I plan to keep trying...will post if I have success.
