Ravzee Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Hi all,I am new to bidding and was recommended this site for help. I am looking to stay on the strip preferably in a 4* or higher. I was hoping to pay <$150/night. Am I hoping for too much :) Anyone got some hotel in that price range for those dates? Please share. How should I go about my bidding? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks a lot!!
thereuare Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Is this for one nite or two?I'm not optimistic that you'll be successful for a 4* for these dates on the strip, but we can try.Let us know if this is for one nite or two and we'll advise accordingly. Ravzee Posted February 2, 2007 Author Report Posted February 2, 2007 It's for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). Thanks for your help!
thereuare Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 When bidding 4* in Vegas you have four re-bid zones availablel (NOTE: Summerlin is not one of them!) If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Strip...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $110, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Strip and re-bid zone3...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $125, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Strip and re-bid zone4...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $140, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Strip and re-bid zone3 and re-bid zone4...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. kevin28282 Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Hi,I'm actually looking for the exact same thing (price, location, stars, everything). Um...can you clarify or direct me to a link that explains the zones? Thanks!-Kevin
kevin28282 Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 Just thought I'd let you know what I ended up getting. Priceline was no help...tried everything even up to 175. Hotwire wasn't very helpful either. Orbitz and Expedia listed everything 250 or rooms sold out on Saturday night. I started to check individual hotels and I found that Hilton still had rooms available and for cheap! For the night of 2/23-2/25 I was able to get 143.10 (with AAA discount, I think it's 155 w/o AAA) for a total of 311! Not too bad considering everything on the strip is going for 250+!
