newyorkgal Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Hello everyone...im new to priceline/hotwire. I'm traveling to new york on 6/1-6/8. Been looking for a good deal but im having trouble bidding. So far...I have bid the following:$110: rejected$135: rejected$150: rejected$172: rejectedAny ideas on what i should do...im trying to not pay any more than $260 and i would like to stick to 4* and in the midtown west area only. I have quite a bit of time left to go but im a bit confused on the bidding. Any suggestions would be great! :)
thereuare Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! Is there a specific reason you're restricting yourself only to the MTW zone? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
newyorkgal Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 Just to be in the center of everything...since i've never been to ny
AaronJB Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 MT East and Upper Midtown/Central Park South are also wonderful, close to attractions and have sights of their own/plenty to see/do. If I was going to NYC tomorrow, I'd actually prefer MTE (or Upper Midtown/CPS) over MTW - less crowded than staying around Times Square area and yet, still within reasonable walking distance to Times Square. Just my opinion.
newyorkgal Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 it seems like the 4* hotels in the mtw area are nicer than mte so im worried about getting something i don't want. If i open up my options to me area, would that give me more of a chance. I reached $180 last night and got rejected again. Not sure what i should do now....
