Hello everyone...im new to priceline/hotwire. I'm traveling to new york on 6/1-6/8. Been looking for a good deal but im having trouble bidding. So far...I have bid the following:

$110: rejected

$135: rejected

$150: rejected

$172: rejected

Any ideas on what i should do...im trying to not pay any more than $260 and i would like to stick to 4* and in the midtown west area only. I have quite a bit of time left to go but im a bit confused on the bidding. Any suggestions would be great! :)

MT East and Upper Midtown/Central Park South are also wonderful, close to attractions and have sights of their own/plenty to see/do. If I was going to NYC tomorrow, I'd actually prefer MTE (or Upper Midtown/CPS) over MTW - less crowded than staying around Times Square area and yet, still within reasonable walking distance to Times Square. Just my opinion.

it seems like the 4* hotels in the mtw area are nicer than mte so im worried about getting something i don't want. If i open up my options to me area, would that give me more of a chance. I reached $180 last night and got rejected again. Not sure what i should do now....
