pdhj2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Used the re-bid trick to search for 3* downtown hotels. Started at $35 and rebid up to $60 before finally getting it. Got two nights at $60/each night + $24.27 in taxes = $144.27 for the whole trip. I searched the hotel website and those two nights go for $378 total for the cheapest rooms they have. Score one for the team.

pdhj2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Author Report Posted January 29, 2007 I bid $35, then $45, then $55; all were rejected.$60 was finally accepted. I kept a separate tab open with the J-ville map so I could easily remember which zones did NOT have 3* or higher. Then with each higher bid I would add one more area that didn't have 3* until the $60 bid.I looked on the website and this hotel looks AMAZING! It's right on the water and we'll see if it looks as good in person as it does the pictures.
