P63110 Posted February 19, 2007 Author Report Posted February 19, 2007 The Hotel was indeed the Royal Palm, and it was *well* worth the $102 per night that I paid. In addition, I received an email from Hotwire saying the following:We are contacting you about your upcoming stay at the Royal Palm Resort,Hotwire Itinerary Number xxxxxxxWe regret that your hotel is unable to offer self-service laundryfacilities with your reservation. We periodically review ourrepresentation of our hotel partners' amenities for the most accurateand up-to-date information and have made a change to our Web site toexclude this amenity.Due to this modification, we would like to offer you the option ofeither canceling your reservation for a full refund along with 50HotDollars, or keeping the reservation and receiving 68.44 HotDollarsgood for future bookings on the Hotwire Web site._______I ended up keeping the room, and was very happy with it. Rooms that night were going for $280, as we found out when we checked in. While not quite on the par of the Delano, National, Sagamore, Loews, the Royal Palm was just fine and deserved its rating. I stayed at the National a few nights later for $250 a night through AAA, and of course was a lot nicer, but I would still recommend the Royal Palm (especially if you could get the room for near $100 per night).
