divajj Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I just had some time open up this weekend to go to Las Vegas for my nieces 21st birthday. She and the rest of the party will be staying at The Flamingo. Because of conventions this weekend, the Flamingo is sold out for Sunday night. Hotwire is offering a 3 star property for $47, a 2 1/2 star for $53, 4 star for $121, and a 3 1/2 star for $125. All of these properties are on the center stip since I would like to stay as close as possible to my niece. I'm guessing that the 3 1/2 star is Harrahs or Ballys, the 2 1/2 New Frontier. I'm not sure about the three or four star properties. The 3 star shows casino, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, hi speed internet, and spa. The 4 star is showing casino, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, hi speed internet, tennis, and golf. Any ideas? I'm trying to stay under $150 for the night. I've found the Aladdin for $99, but I'm not sure how long of a walk it would be to The Flamingo. Any ideas? Thanks for any help! :)
thereuare Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 If you're willing to spend up to $150/nite... are you really going to consider staying at a 2.5* hotel when there are other properties well within your budget? :) As the star ratings and prices that you mention above are at opposite ends of the spectrum... what exactly is it that you're looking for? divajj Posted January 26, 2007 Author Report Posted January 26, 2007 I was just posting everything that was offered. I would prefer something nicer than a 2 1/2 star. However, my main priority is to be as close to the Flamingo as possible, even if it was a lesser hotel. I was looking at Priceline too, but they don't seem to limit the center strip area to hotels directly on the strip. What would my best bet be to find a hotel close to the Flamingo?
thereuare Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 Book Harrahs for $130 directly on their website... seems to fit your budget and is very close to the Flamingo. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
divajj Posted January 26, 2007 Author Report Posted January 26, 2007 Thank you, that sounds good. I appreciate the help!
bbbb Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Aladdin would be my choice as the bathrooms are almost as nice as the ones at the Venetian. Its a little bit of a walk but I think its worth it. You lucked out that the Flamingo was sold out,the pool is great but the place is a DUMP!
