Big Ed Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Hello,I've been trying to snag 2 rooms in the Inner Harbor area for a late baseball season trip. The Red Sox will be in town, so it is sure to be a "high demand" weekend for hotel rooms. I've used all my rebids for the moment...certainly time is on my side, but I was surprised that I couldn't get a bite all the way up to $131 a night, which seems higher than others have paid. Could it be that I'm trying too far in advance? Thanks for any advice you can share.
thereuare Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 While your bids are higher than most others, if you look at rates direct from the hotel websites (use our BetterChecker to research rates) you'll see that hotel direct rates are much higher than usual too. With rates at most of the 4* properties in the $300-$400 range :) , your current bids are less than half of conventional rates. What are the date(s) of the baseball game? Would SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID be an option? What is your maximum bid?PS- thanks for the donation :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
