Best guess is that this is the Monte Carlo... however, it can be booked directly on the Monte Carlo website for $123/nite. After hotwire's fee, the above would be about $4 cheaper per nite... and i wouldn't book 'opaque' to save $4 as there is a chance it could end up not being the Monte Carlo, and more importantly, booking direct with the hotel will give you a bit more 'clout' in trying to get a better room (strip view, king bed, non-smoking, etc, etc) that it wouldn't be worth the savings (imo). The other advantage is that the Monte Carlo rate (thru their website) is cancellable which would enable you to continue to try to beat it as your check-in date gets closer (that alone is worth $4 to me)

You can also book the Aladdin for $110/nite. (also cancellable)

I'm a fan of the Flamingo, but i think both the Aladdin and the Monte Carlo are both nicer properties. (if you like a nice pool go with the Monte Carlo)

If you do book direct please use the Monte Carlo links in this thread... if you choose to save the $4/nite and go opaque, please use our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.

You think there is a good chance rates will drop as the date gets closer? Also any idea when grand opening of "Planet Hollywood" will be? 3rd thinking of pricelining Venetian but rates are high for those days so thinking under $150 a night might be out of the question. Where would you suggest I try to stay for Cinco De Mayo/Derby Day? Think Strat is the best option for about $100 for that night. Any other ideas? Thanks

See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ. However, if you book the cancellable Aladdin or Monte Carlo then you are protected in case demand picks up and all hotels get more expensive... but you're also able to take advantage of any better deals that may come along.

No idea... call the hotel and ask, but last i heard some signage is up already, but also sitll some work to be done. Regardless, things will likely different in May than they are today.

I'm on my way out and can't look right now, so remind me when you let me know how much the Venetian is and i'll have a look then.

Venetian from hotel webiste is $489 each night, From Priceline is $299, 399, 599. Guessing bid will be more like $200 to get it.

Still searching for good ideas for Saturday 5-5, willing to stay anywhere on the stip or at the Nugger downtown? looking for around $125ish. Nothing on Easyclicktravel for that price.

I'd think more than that.

Well you had better book it before it's not available anymore (they only have a limited of rooms at that price... then it goes to 'on request') and you'll be back to square one. It's cancellable so you have nothing to lose... but do have something to gain.

Best guess on the 3* North Strip is the Riviera, the 3* Central Strip hasn't yet been identified, but in another thread it was discussed and the best guess at that time was the Imperial Palace... but that's just a guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you book either.

What time does your flight get in... if late, any thoughts at maybe staying off-strip for the first nite?
