XYandZ
I'm travelling to Cincinnati for a 2 night stay (1/12 - 1/14) and seeking advice as I will be travelling with 2 children - I would like to stay in a 4*, but when I have used Priceline in the past I have been allocated a small room with one bed............any suggestions? campykids
Many times, in various cities, at vaious hotels I have called ahead and asked to be placed in a larger room, a few times I have been turned down, but always offered an "upgrade" for a price, usually $10. I don't recommend lying, but one time my husband told the clerk at the Columbus Westin that it was my birthday and she upgraded us to a suite - free of charge! Link to comment
XYandZ
......thanks......we just got back - was given a room with 2 double beds at the Hilton Netherland ($55) - I called ahead and was assured because of low occupancy it wouldn't be a problem; although I was warned that priceline rooms are usually assigned "house rooms" Link to comment
XYandZ
.........after bidding $50, I was asked to offer $64 - I refused. The next day I bid $55 and was accepted. Was only charged $10 per night for parking instead of $15 Link to comment
