nam Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 Hi everyone-Need a hotel in Orlando just from 3/5 to 3/6. Needs to be by the airport and have a shuttle. Prefer a pool (kids would like that), but other than that just clean and decent. Noticed the Wingates on another post and the possibility of the Double the Difference. Anyone ever stay there?THanks a ton!
nam Posted January 14, 2007 Author Report Posted January 14, 2007 oops, sorry meant to say the Wingate Inn
thereuare Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 The Wingate Inn doesn't appear to be offered for your dates thru HOTWIRE.Is the shuttle and/or pool a need or a want?If it would simply be 'nice to have' then you can try to use priceline... if you must have either of these then HOTWIRE may be a better option since they tell you the amenities of the hotel before you purchase. Also, how many people are you? Priceline will only guarantee double occupancy while hotwire will allow you to search for up to quad occupancy. Many people "chance it" and book on priceline when they will be more than two in the room, but it's up to you if you want to go that route or not. What is the minimum star rating you're willing to accept? What is your maximum budget?Let us know the above and we'll be able to best advise accordingly. nam Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 hi! Thanks for the replay. We do need a shuttle froom the airport. Pool is more of a want. We will need a room for 4 people. 2 1/2 to 3 *'s with a budget up to $100.Thanks so much!
thereuare Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 If you must have a shuttle than HOTWIRE will be a better option for you. Although most hotels in the Airport area would have a shuttle, this is not guaranteed by Priceline, so if this is a 'must have' you are better off going with HOTWIRE which lets you know beforehand if a shuttle is offered. If you do a HOTWIRE search for your dates, do you see any hotels in the Airport zone with a Shuttle for your date and within your budget? If so, what are the amenities and star rating associated with the property? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
nam Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 hello!Did a search for one night 3/5/07 to 3/6/07 for MCO. Listed a 2 1/2 * with Airport shuttle, pool, high speed internet and complimentary breakfast. 2.1 miles from the airport. Any ideas what hotel this is? Oh, it was for $50.00 + tax. It also said customer favorite. Thanks so much for your help.p.s. Are u a fellow Michigangander or an alum? :))
thereuare Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 I'm a UofM alumn :)The above is believed to be a match for the La Quinta so that would be our best guess. (although the previous 'win' for this property is unconfirmed... a user probably posted the win without the amenities, but when doing a search for his/her dates i saw a property at the same price and assumed the it to be the same hotel... making note of the amenities). If you purchase the above please use this HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
