Thanks to recent posts by gator, Golgi and debjcline, it was clear the usual $75 mark wasn't going to win for the period around this holiday weekend. I wanted to check there'd been no change in availability and rule out the usual bid levels, and then see if there was winning point between $85 and $90. So I bid as follows:

USE + Cathedral Hill - $80

USE + Civic Centre - $85

USE + South SF - $88 - ACCEPTED

The Starwood website is quoting $299 + charges and taxes = $341.10 per night for those dates.
