Erik Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 HiI am looking to book a hotel through Priceline for Manhatten (3/23-3/26). We're 3 or 4 friends and would like to share a hotel room.Is it common to get rooms which are big enough for extra beds and/or 2 kingbeds in one room.I know that priceline always mentions the rooms are for 2 adults only. Has anyone got experience with a request to the hotel for extra beds, after it has been bought through priceline? Thanks for all your helpErik
AaronJB Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 It will likely be very difficult (if not impossible), given that many NYC hotel rooms are very small and some barely fit the 1 bed. Some other major cities may not be a problem on a slow day, but I do not think you're going to have luck with a request for 2 beds in NYC.
thereuare Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Keep in mind that two rooms thru priceline can often be cheaper than one room booked direct.I've never heard of two king beds in a room (especially not in NYC)... but i know the Grand Hyatt and the Sheraton both have rooms that can accomodate quad occupancy (when booked direct)... but you should also expect to pay extra as most standard rates are for double occupancy. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Erik Posted February 26, 2007 Author Report Posted February 26, 2007 So far I reserved 3 rooms through your Quikbook link in the Eastgate Tower Hotel for:2 doubles each for 03/23/07 = $162.00 03/24/07 = $234.00 03/25/07 = $162.00and a triple suite for 03/23/07 = $229.00 03/24/07 = $220.00 03/25/07 = $229.00This should accomodate all 7 adults.I am hesitant to book through priceline or hotwire as it is not certain that I can get a room for 3 adults once an offer is accepted. So probably will stick to this. But I read the reviews of the Eastgate tower and they seem quite good.
