MelRa Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 I will be in Miami for 2 nights- want to stay in a 4 star hotel, preferably a resort or one with many amenities, on the beach (such as Sheraton Bal Harbour or Doubletree Ocean Point in Sunny Isles). Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
MelRa Posted January 9, 2007 Author Report Posted January 9, 2007 I would like to use Priceline to book 2 nights at a "Resort" in "Miami Beach". Is it safe to assume I will get either the Sheraton Bal Harbour or the Eden Roc? If you could please help me with the strategy, in terms of what I should request and what prices I should be bidding at? I am trying to stay under 100 to 150 per night. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks very much!
MelRa Posted January 9, 2007 Author Report Posted January 9, 2007 My sister bid on this for $80 per night, for a 2 night stay in mid january, and was successful.

thereuare Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 From the Priceline Hotel List there is more than just these two resorts in this zone, as well, you should read the comments at the top of the hotel list. You need to be willing to accept any Resort class property in the zone you bid. Let us know if you can accept this condition and we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow. Also, i previously merged all of your previous threads into one Miami Newport Beachside Resort thread (assuming it was all for the same stay)... are the dates of that stay correct as posted and do you happen to know if that was your sister's first bid in the zone? (if not, what was the amount of her highest previously rejected bid?0 Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
MelRa Posted January 9, 2007 Author Report Posted January 9, 2007 I'm sorry... I forgot to include the Fountainbleau... yes, that resort would also be great. Any of the 3 mentioned on the list are fine. I posted 3 things yesterday... 2 regarding my stay from 1/14 - 1/16, hopefully in one of the 3 Miami Beach resorts listed. Any strategy you could provide me regarding this would be great! The third posting from yesterday was to let the site know about my sister's bid... she bid for the same dates 1/14 - 1/16. Her very first bid was for a 3 star hotel in "north miami" zone for $80 and she got the Newport Beachside resort. I am positive of this. Please let me know if you need any further info regarding this.Again, any help you could provide regarding my stay would be great. Thanks so much!

MelRa Posted January 9, 2007 Author Report Posted January 9, 2007 Thank you, I will try this. I'm not sure what you mean by "re-access priceline the way you did previously". Is that when I'll have to wait 24 hrs?
MelRa Posted January 9, 2007 Author Report Posted January 9, 2007 Sorry...I'm a little confused. When you say "zone 1, 2" etc. are you using a generic name for zones and I then have to figure out which to use each time? Or are they actually labeled by numbers (I don't see #'s on priceline's website). Please advise. Thanks again!!
thereuare Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 They're generic names for your re-bid zones.See Priceline Re-Bidding Explained for how to determine your re-bid zones and feel free (encouraged) to confirm them with the board (or ask questions if you're confused) before bidding.
