Chrissy Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I have an issue. A group of 20 of us need a hotel room in Miami downtown for May 12th overnight (all couples), so we need 10 rooms. How can I get the price benefits of priceline. The website only lets you select up to 4 rooms. Any ideas appreciated. We want to be near the bayside market. Its a pre-cruise stay.TIAChrissy
thereuare Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Please follow-up your previous Priceline New York City thread with whatever you ended up doing for that stay... then bump this thread and we'll comment on your situation above. thereuare Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 NO, the maximum number of rooms you can bid on is 4.You an make three separate bids (4rooms/3rooms/3rooms OR 4rooms/4rooms/2rooms) but there is no guarantee that you'll receive the same hotel (or the same price) for each purchase. It is also possible that you have success with the first purchase and then not able to get anything for the remaining bids.Another option is to purchase on HOTWIRE so when you go to make the second (and third) purchases you can have a reasonable idea of it will be the same hotel (based upon star rating and amenities)... but again, no guarantees the hotel you receive in the first purchase will be offered in subsequent searches. If you go this route please use this HOTWIRE link to begin each search (ie- after the first purchase, return here and click the link again to begin the second and third purchases)Basically you need to weigh the cost vs. everyone staying at the same hotel. What is the nightly budget for this stay? Chrissy Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 We'd like to stay at or under 100/night. I don't need a fancy hotel just walking distance to Bayside Market and clean. Some of the hotels in that area have awlful reviews. Something like Holiday Inn Port of Miami would be fine. Is the a hotwire or Priceline hotel???? thanks
thereuare Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Let us know when when you are actually ready to bid and all of the members of the group you're bidding for are confirmed.
