TexasTek76 Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I have been bidding (unsuccessfully) on a 5* on the Strip for the past few days. Here is my bid history:Jan 27-30$100 (waited 1 day)$130 (waited 1 day)$145 (waited 1 day)$150 (waited 1 day)$160 (added LAS airport area)I thought I might be able to sneak in for less than $150 since this is the weekend before the Super Bowl and there are no NFL playoff games - maybe not. I would knock it down to 4* but I really don't want to get stuck at the Westin. Any ideas?
thereuare Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Rates are nearly $500/nite for the above dates, so it doesn't look like a successful priceline bid is in the cards (pun intended). What is your maximum budget for a 4* if you could ensure avoiding the Westin. TexasTek76 Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 Right now we have a room at the Imperial Palace for $104 per night but it my two brothers first trip and I'd like to stay at a nicer place. I would spend $150 or so if I could get a nice 4*.
thereuare Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 You can book the Luxor for $136/nite... if you're willing to drop in quality Harrah's can be booked for $125/nite and the Flamingo is avaialble for $110/nite, both directly on their websites. If you want to do better, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? TexasTek76 Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Posted January 4, 2007 I forgot about that option - thanks. Our Saturday night stay is probably throwing us off.
