noladude
Bid $55 downtown/frenchquarter four star priceline countered for an additional $17, added metairie and bid $65 and got Hilton Riverside, a double bed. Called and asked for a king and a room in the nicer portion of the hotel, and idea how often they honor those requests? Should be a nice friday night in New Orleans. Link to comment
thereuare
I'm assuming you mean the Downtown/Convention Center zone (which i've edited your topic title) and not the (Downtown/FQ) zone?Your requests being honored will be highly dependent upon the occupancy levels, your demeanor during check-in, and the front desk clerks mood at check-in... never hurts to smile :)Thanks for the post and enjoy your stay (and please confirm the zone for us too). Jeff F. In Louisiana
Also, if you're traveling with a pretty lady, it never hurts to have HER make the request.I have no macho delusions. I've learned that it's often better to have my wife do the talking. :) Link to comment
noladude
Right downtown-convention center is the hilton, I had chosen downtown-convention center and FQ as possible locations as I didn't really mind being in either. Link to comment
