pdog101 Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 Hi,I need a pre-cruise night in San Juan for 2/2. It seems like everything is heavily booked up. I checked all of the resorts listed on the "San Juan hotels" sticky and most are full or +$300. Anyway, I am thinking that I might switch to the 3-star class but can't get a good feel for how much to bid. It looks like I can get Raddison Ambassador for $150 on their website. Any ideas?(I have bid the resorts up to $150 with no luck)Thanks!Jim
thereuare Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 Is that the hotel's standard rate? I'm showing rates of $200+ at the Radisson website. How high are you willing to bid for a 3*? pdog101 Posted December 28, 2006 Author Report Posted December 28, 2006 I bid $90 earlier in the day - obviously no luck.I think I got confused and thought I saw the raddison for $150. I rechecked earlier and it was $200 like you say. I would probably go near $125 for the 3* but not much higher since there are hotels on Expedia for $150.Seems like a bad time of year to go to PR on the cheap....
thereuare Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 As yo have no re-bid zones avaialble at the 3* level, i'd first try $75, if that is rejected wait 24 hour and try $100, if that is rejected wait 24 hours and try $115, if that is rejected wait 24 hours and try again at $125.If the above fails and you go with Expedia, please use our link to do so.Keep us updated and let us know how it goes and what you ultimately end up doing for this stay.Any questions feel free to ask. thereuare Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Taraleigh99,It would be appreciated (and more helpful) if you posted your win(s) to the board as a NEW TOPIC. As you can see, rates are date specific and don't apply to each situation. Please post the details of your win as a NEW TOPIC so that the information will be most benefial to others and users will be able to see your win (and dates) by scanning the topic titles on the board.Thanks.
