moonburst37 Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 I'm looking to take a quick getaway between 1/13 and 1/16. These dates currently seem to be the lowest of any listed prices for the next 2 months. I'm wondering if this is a lull week, will my chances for getting a room on the strip be even better if I wait to bid until next week? I've found that I can get a room at Aladdin for between $138 and $109 published, I'm hoping that I'd be able to at least get down to $75 or $80 or maybe less via bid. Anybody have any thoughts/advice/experience? TIA
thereuare Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 For "when to bid" see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ. Personally, i don't think it will make much of a difference between now and next week and i would begin to try now. However, do note that some Vegas hotels don't allow Saturday check-in, so that could be something that negatively affects your bidding and/or accepted price. If at first you don't succeed at your limit, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option for you? Let us know the above and when you are aready to bid... we'll then suggest a stategy for you to follow based upon the most up to date prices.
