scottyc5 Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Trying to get a 4* on the strip for March 14-17th, 2007. Want to keep it $150 or under but having little luck. I've seen MGM and others go for much less than that on priceline before - maybe dates are bad because of Spring Break and March Madness? I have an offer from hotwire for about $166/night on the South Strip, and I did get a $184/night counteroffer on a priceline bid. Are these likely the Westin? It seems that if I'm seeing these prices, I can do better if I tweak it right. There are others in my party wanting to book sooner than later, so I don't want to wait until last minute. Any possibility prices come down if we are patient, or is $166 the best I can hope for considering what is going on that week in Vegas? Thanks in advance
thereuare Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding! To take a guess at the HOTWIRE hotel being offered you'll need to include the amenities which are associated with the property. If you are interested in the Westin, you can book it HERE for $166/nite... and there is no booking fee so it would be cheaper than the HOTWIRE offer above. More importantly, there is no cancellaton fee if you cancel at least 2 days before check-in... so it locks in your price now (in case prices go up) and also enables you to cancel and take advantage of a better deal should prices go down. Please use this Westin link to begin your purchase if you go this route.Let us know if this works for you or if we can help further. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
scottyc5 Posted December 21, 2006 Author Report Posted December 21, 2006 Thanks. I don't mind the Westin, but that is too "off the strip" for some in my group so we are hoping to find something else. Here is the info on the 4* Hotwire hotel (again, in the South Strip, so it shouldn't be the Westin? That would leave MGM, NY NY and Luxor, maybe Mandalay):Retailed at $226RESORTResorts offer a complete destination experience. Facilities generally include a spa or fitness center, one or more swimming pools, and superior dining options. Depending on location, recreational activities may include water sports, golf, tennis or skiing. Coastal resorts usually boast ocean views or beachfront access. Note: A resort fee may be charged. CasinoProperty offers a full-service casino accessible from the lobby.
thereuare Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Your message got cut-off... please include the full list of amenities (and just the amenities... no need to include the description of each one, we know what a 'resort' is and what a 'restaurant' icon means) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
scottyc5 Posted December 21, 2006 Author Report Posted December 21, 2006 Sorry about that. Here are the Amenities for 4 star hotel on south strip:Hotel Amenities:ResortCasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesI'm likely to book this with your HOTWIRE link unless it's possibly some outlier hotel I'm not thinking of. But of course, knowing which hotel it is likely to be helps a little.ThxScott
thereuare Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 The above is a match for the Luxor so that would be our best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchase you make.Good luck and let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
