busybee Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 We're hoping to get Venetian on Priceline for January 13-15 (long weekend, checking in only on Saturday).Any tips on bidding? Is it true that Venetian only releases room to Priceline 14 days prior? What other hotels are considered 5* in Priceline? Thanks! This board rocks!
thereuare Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 With current rates for this stay at $219/nite, you're not going to be successful at bids of $100.See the Priceline Hotel List and Hotwire Hotel List for all hotels that have been reported for each service. busybee Posted December 9, 2006 Author Report Posted December 9, 2006 Hi there, splitting the bid is not an option. Max we would be willing to pay is around $200 inclusive of taxes/fees. What's the best way to bid? Thanks!
thereuare Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 around $200 inclusive of taxes/feesWhat is your maximum before taxes and fees? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
thereuare Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 You have seven re-bid zones when bidding 5* in Las Vegas. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170.As this is a Saturday nite check-in I'm doubtful the above will be successful, but no harm in trying, maybe you'll get lucky even before you arrive in Vegas :)I do have an idea that i think will land you this hotel at about $200 plus fees and taxes, but not sure if you want to go that high or not.
