luxeforless Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 These new area designations have added uncertanty, darn it :)Dec 7-9 4* Mag Mile-Streeterville $135Rest, Fitness, Business, Pool, Spa, InternetLooks like the W Lakeshore, which would be great. Just want to be sure the Hyatt has not been reported as ever showing a pool? There's a 3 1/2* at $119 in the same area -- I know that's the Sheraton...
thereuare Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Please follow-up your previous Hotwire Chicago thread as well as your Hotwire Orlando with whatever you ended up doing for each stay and then we'll have a look at the above.Thanks. luxeforless Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 Sure. Whenever I make a Hotwire booking, I do follow up with the details so others can benefit, just as i have benefitted from this site. Did not book via Hotwire on either of those trips; one trip was cancelled and the other room secured through the convention booking block -- was not aware you wanted anything other than successful bookings posted.Per your request, I have inserted that info in those threads from earlier this year.
thereuare Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Thanks for the follow-up. We prefer that every thread has a conclusion, as it makes it easier for future readers to know what ultimatley happened, rather than left wondering if the OP was successful or booked thru other means. To the best of my knowledge the Hyatt has never been reported with a pool icon. As well, in the hotel lists we try our best to avoid deleting icons, and rather strike them out like this Pool, so the very reason you bring up (as well as in case a hotel reverts back to the previous icons at some point down the road, makes identifying it easier). As well, i haven't been to this property, but i can't find anything on their website that they even have a pool, which if true, would exclude this property from being the Hyatt. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 The Hyatt has no pool (the biggest hotel in the city, you'd think they'd have been able to fit one in there somewhere.) It would appear to be the W, to me.
luxeforless Posted December 19, 2006 Author Report Posted December 19, 2006 To the best of my knowledge the Hyatt has never been reported with a pool icon. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.I have stayed here and am 99% sure they do not have a pool -- but they started displaying the spa icon when the spa is nearby, not on premise -- opening the possibility they might do the same with a pool. Thanks for the follow-up. Makes sense; I will ensure I follow up whether bookig through Hotwire or other means in the future.I ended up booking the Hilton Suites this time directly with Hilton's gold desk becaue they came up with a good rate for this property ($169).
