Normally I use Priceline but this was a special case for me.

I Tried Priceline 3* + - rejected for up to $50. Did not want to go higher as I had about $80 in Hotwire Bucks and knew I could use them to keep my real rate low. With my Hotwire bucks the actual cost came out to about $42 a night. (We also have a NEA union discount available that would have gotten us a room in the Chapel Hill Hampton for $54. But the Sheraton is nicer!)

Glad you were able to identify this property and make an educated decision to switch from Priceline to HOTWIRE as the ability to use your Hotwire bucks came into play.
