urso_polar Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 When I arrived , the tarps on some windows indicated that part of the hotel was being renovated. After waiting 5 minutes, someone finally arrived at the reception to check me in. I was asked if a King size room would be to my liking. Priceline was not mentioned, but I am sure that I was given a less desirable room. It was at the end of the corridor on the first floor in a high rise hotel. The staff was helpful providing directions & maps. The lobby was large & comfortable. The room was clean. The tub shower was fine with plenty of towels. The kitchenette consisted of a refrigerator & microwave but no dishes, utensils or cookware. The bed was spacious but a little too soft for my tastes. During the night there was no noise & I slept fine.Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, bread, muffins, english muffins, bagels, danishes, yogurt cups, scrambled eggs, & sausages. For fresh fruit there were apples & bananas. To drink there was milk, coffee & tea. The juice machine was out of order. It was served in a meeting room because the breakfast area which I didn't see was being renovated.Among Suite hotels, Amerisuites is on the budget end, I prefer Residence Inn. However given the bid of $33, I would stay at this Amerisuites hotel again.
