MickeyDad Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 My wife and I decided to give each other a trip for Christmas. Our anniversary is 1-6 and last year we used a strategy from this site and went to NYC and got the Grnad Hyatt for $109. This morning I purchased our airline tickets and thought I would "tinker" with Priceline and made a few pretty low bids and see what happened. I thought I would probably not get anything and would need to wait until closer to January. I originally planned to go up to just $105 today. I started at $89 for MTW, then $95 and added MTE, then $100 and added UMT and then $110 and added MTS. We really enjoyed the Grand Hyatt again and hope it is as good this year as last year. At $110 it should be a screaming deal! Now I just hope nobody gets sick when we are supposed to go... :)
thereuare Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 A very nice deal indeed. Most reports i have heard about this hotel hav been good so i wouldn't expect anything different from your stay from last year.If i didn't suggest it last year, try Ess-A-Bagel on Third Ave at 51st Street... makes for an inexpensive breakfast and has one of the best bagels NYC has to offer. Thanks for the post and enjoy your stay.
