Whiskers Merryweather Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Didn't think I was going to get anything in Manhattan for $300 for this night. Previous bid was $250, so I may have been able to get it somewhere in the $251-299 range. Rate on hotel's website is $409. Gets great reviews on TripAdvisor.
bbbb Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Can you please post after your stay on what kind of room your get at the ES. Thanks
Whiskers Merryweather Posted November 30, 2006 Author Report Posted November 30, 2006 will do.I realize now that I could have had the room for $279 through HOTWIRE. I didn't have the "downtown" box checked when I searched hotwire before making my priceline bid.
Whiskers Merryweather Posted December 3, 2006 Author Report Posted December 3, 2006 Can you please post after your stay on what kind of room your get at the ES. ThanksWe got a 2-room king suite non-smoking. Basically their standard, cheapest room, I guess. Huge room by manhattan standards. It was on the 7th floor and had a view only of the street and building across it. The room had a sofabed and a microwave. Really nice hotel, though a little out of the way for a tourist or for someone doing business in midtown. It'd be fine if you are willing to take cabs everywhere, just not that convenient for subway.
