travelgirl23 Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Hello! I am planning a visit to New York city and need a place to stay 12/2. I'd like to be in Manhattan but am not super picky about the area (as long as it's reasonably safe). I'd prefer a central location (since I'm planning to go to a show, Central Park, etc.) and a 3-4* hotel, but I definately need to spend <$200 and obviously cheaper is better. The rates I have seen for this date on search engines like Orbitz are $375 and up. Yikes! Any ideas for a bidding strategy? Any other recommendations? If I don't use Priceline or Hotwire, I'd be willing to share a bath, etc. to save money as long as the place was safe and clean. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
thereuare Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 A manhattan hotel is probably out of your price range for these dates. For a shared bath situation, or if you can stretch your budget a bit further, give EasyClickTravel a look which has some shared bath properties within your price range, and some private bath just beyond your price range. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
