Priceline Hotel: Failed bids 12/29-12/31 then 12/29 only

Made the following bids and failed for 2 nights 12/29-12/31 Friday to Sunday depature all for 4 star (****):

Midtown East $125 added:

Mid West bid $130 added

Upper East bid 135 added

Upper West bid 140

then changed to one night arrive 12/29 Friday and depart Sat 12/20, bid:

Mid East $140 added

Mid West 145 added

Upper East 150 added

Upper East $155.

So I went as high as $155 for one night with no acceptance and $140 for each of two nights all for a 4 star (****) hotels on this this weekend. Has any one had some luck? Thanks

Have you tried using our BetterChecker to research rates for these dates?

Looking at the two nite stay, I found one 4* hotel at nearly $400 and the rest were either sold-out or $500+. Rates such as these indicate that you're probably not currently in the ballpark with $150 bids.

Is this a trip you'll be taking regardless of price or is it discretionary only if you can get a good deal? Is $155 your maximum bid?
