everwood Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 At the end of March 2007, a 3 nights stay around time square areamy budget is 300 dollars. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!
thereuare Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 "Times Square" is not a priceline zone... which zone(s) are you willing to bid? What are the actual dates of your stay? everwood Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 Then I guess it's Midtown West.I plan to stay between Mar. 28 and Mar. 31. 3 nights. Thanks a lot!

everwood Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 4? seems not easy to find.3 star is ok.
thereuare Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Is your $300 budget a total for all three nites or per nite? Is that 'all-in' including taxes and fees? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
everwood Posted November 10, 2006 Author Report Posted November 10, 2006 300 is for the whole three nightsis that possible?
thereuare Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 It's not very likely... and if you're including taxes and fees, it's very unlikely. What is the best rate you've been able to find from traditional sources? everwood Posted November 10, 2006 Author Report Posted November 10, 2006 thanks for the info.so, with my budget, what kind of hotel is possible?thanks
thereuare Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 If $300 "all-in" (including fees and taxes) you're looking at a maximum bid of about $83 and i can't recall the last time we've seen a 3* or higher win at that amount or less in NYC. Occasionally we see a 2.5* within that range, but it's usually more the exception than the rule. Have you looked at rates thru traditional means? everwood Posted January 2, 2008 Author Report Posted January 2, 2008 Please first follow-up your previous Priceline New York City thread with whatever you ended up doing for that stay... then bump this thread and we'll have a look and comment regarding the above.Sorry about that. I actually didn't bid. And ended up commuting between philly and NYC for those three days....
