deebee Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 4* Mag. Mile-Wacker Dr.Customer FavoriteFitness PoolRestaurantBus. CenterNovember 17-20Do you know what this is???Could it be anything besides Intercontinental?Thank you for your help,Deebee:)
AaronJB Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 Quite likely the Intercontinental. I think the Intercontinental's quite nice. Is it not what you're looking for/what you want?
deebee Posted November 4, 2006 Author Report Posted November 4, 2006 Thank you for your response! :)I was HOPING it was Intercontinental...I LOVE that hotel!But...I have tentatively booked the Omni for the weekend for $329 a night. I want to stay somewhere nice right ON Mich. Ave. I am scared to gamble on this Hotwire deal if it ends up NOT being Intercontinental. I really don't want to pay more than $300 a night, but I must be on Mich. Ave. What do you think?Thank you SO much, deebee
AaronJB Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 I really would be very surprised if this was something else besides the Intercontinental & can't really think of anything else it could be, really. While this is *not* a guarantee, the 3.5/5 tripadvisor rating on the detail page of the listing that we think is the Intercontinental does match up with the Intercontinental's current rating on Tripadvisor.____On the other hand, I definitely would *NOT* recommend the 4* in the North Michigan Ave/Gold Coast/Water Tower area though, as that would likely be the Knickerbocker.
AaronJB Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 If you do take the Hotwire deal, please report back. I'll then edit the thread title. Thanks :)
deebee Posted November 5, 2006 Author Report Posted November 5, 2006 THANK YOU!!!!Well, I did it! It is Intercontinental. I am thrilled! Now I have an extra $400 for shopping because of booking through Hotwire! :)Thank you, again...deebee
AaronJB Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 I'm glad it turned out to be what you wanted! :) If you've never been to the Intercontinental before definitely go check out the pool, as the pool area's absolutely *beautiful.*If you could though, please post the price per night, and I can then edit that part of the thread title to include it. Thank you! :)
deebee Posted November 5, 2006 Author Report Posted November 5, 2006 It's been about 5 years since I stayed at the Intercontinental, but it is gorgeous and I LOVE the location!I paid $156 per night on Hotwire. Thanks again! :)
