Was looking for anything along I-85 corridor between Concord and Gastonia to make a pitstop. Here's what I did:Gastonia 2.5* $25 - noGastonia 2* $25 - noadded Charlotte airport $30 - norestartedConcord-Kannapolis 2.5* $30 - noadded Charlotte airport $33 - noadded Gastonia - nodropped to 2* and got it.There's only a two or three 2.5*'s in the area. The other location on I-85 was University Area, but a 2* in that region had bad reviews so I didn't include it.La Quinta North rate was $75 + tax on their website with Govt discount. So this sounds great so far! I used to pay $25-30+tax for some scary motels that always had issues! Last time I could barely sleep b/c some thugly types were knocking on doors at 2AM looking for cigarettes or something. Needless to say I didn't sleep well and thought my car would be gone in the morning!Thanks for this site. It's GREAT. Link to comment
