Priceline Hotel: No luck in 3* or 4* up to $220

I've been trying for weeks now routinely using the recommendations for rebid zones with no success. I see others getting 3 or 4 star hotels for less than what I'm bidding. I'm baffled. I've gone up to $220 even in 3 star searches with no takers. I even registered my mother in law's info for priceline in case it has something to do with the number of tries I've made, but still no luck.

Is there something I'm not doing right?

The dates are for next week now 11/6/06 - 11/9/06.

Different days are busier than others. Some may have success on quieter days at lower prices, but unfortunately, the days that you're looking at are busier and, therefore, getting a reasonable price may prove difficult.

What areas are you looking at? What would be your max bid? Do you have a back-up? (For example, the 30/30 Hotel is $244 on EasyClickTravel)
