Hotwire Hotel: Buy Now Or Wait?

Hi. I've been watching a Hotwire listing for Kissimmee, for Dec. 6-8, 2006. It is a 2 1/2 * with fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry, and high speed internet access. The price has varied from $28 to $35 a night. My question: should I buy now, or will the price go down closer to the date of stay? Thanks.

IF you have a price that you can live with and a hotel that you like, then I would go for it. How much lower do you think it will go? Is the value of this potential decrease worth the potential of loosing this particualar hotel (if you like it/want it)? We have wrung our hands like this before. Now, if we get the hotel, and the price is good, we take it. Have lost one or two goods ones through procrastination. That's our experience for what it's worth.

Thanks. I don't have my heart set on this hotel; it just seemed like a good trade-off between a fair price and a hotel that is a little above average. I am really sort of "experimenting" for future vacations, to see what works best. I will report back if I reserve it, as to which hotel it is. Thanks again.

Well, I guess it paid to procrastinate. I noticed an ad from Travelocity"]Travelocity that offered a $50 discount if you use a MasterCard to book your stay. I wound up with the Howard Johnson Maingate East for 2 nights (Dec. 6-8) for a grand total, after discount, of . . . are you sitting down? . . . $24.95! Can't beat that!
