My friend and I are flying into Vegas on the evening of Thursday, November 16, and flying out on the morning of Monday, November 20. We already have our airplane reservations, so we are looking for a hotel.

This is a first visit to Vegas for each of us, so we would like to be as close as the excitement as possible. I would really like to stay on the strip and pay as little as possible (obviously).

I am honestly quite overwhelmed by the possibilities. I have seen the Westin for $99, but from what I have read here we might be able to find something a bit better for a little more. Using the Las Vegas Checker through your site, it looks like we'll be able to get around $649 total for the MGM Grand or New York New York. Something around this price is okay, but if we can pay less, that would be fabulous.

Any tips? I wanted to check with the "experts" before booking something blindly.

Thanks in advance!

There may be other great options but a quick look on your dates and there is a 4* South Strip on HOTWIRE at $129 when I just checked believed to be the Luxor with the amenities

Resort, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Spa, Golf, Tennis, Business- just a best guess it always could be another hotel, and the total with fees and taxes would be $563.97.

Also Orbitz has the Monte Carlo for your date at 128.70 a night, a total with taxes and fees of $574.99. Of the two hotels many people would choose the Monte Carlo for the $11.00 difference and being able to know the hotel name for sure.

Priceline bidding is also an option but read up on the board as much as you can and ask for specific help on that if you want to try. I'm sure others will have more options for you too!

I wouldn't stay at Luxor for a first time visit as it's too far at the end of the strip.

I would take the Monte Carlo from Orbitz as the rate appears to be a good one, they have a great pool area, and it's got a great strip location where you can walk to plenty of other casinos/hotels in the area.

You could also book the Aladdin, but at $150/nite it would cost more than the Monte Carlo above and i put the two hotels on equal ground (except the Monte Carlo has a great pool).

If you do go for the above please use our Orbitz link to begin your purchase.
