Priceline Hotel: 4* Long Beach Hyatt

I see that these four hotels are what I'd be bidding on, but I've only come across a single post, for a bid on the Hyatt that was won for $67. My question is, should I use that same bid amount, or go lower/higher? My choices in order would be the Renaissance, Westin, Hyatt, Hilton. I was thinking of bidding $75 to try and get the Ren, but don't want to over bid and still get the Hyatt. Any help is appreciated.

No, read the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List.

As well, rates are date specific, so how much you should bid depends upon hotel-direct rates for the actual date(s) of your stay. What are the date(s) of your stay? What is your maximum bid?

With the above info we will be able to best advise of a strategy to follow.

I understand that I might not get one of the four listed, and that's fine. My date of stay are Nov.18th for one night. I saw a post that someone got bid $60 for a 4* and accepted the counter offer of $67 and got the Hyatt LB. I was thinking of also bidding $60, and would be willing to do a max of $85? - can you please advise a strategy for me.

At the 4* level you have three re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 4* Long Beach...

Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $70, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* Long Beach and re-bid zone3...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $85.

1st bid: 4* LB area @ $60 rejected

2nd bid: 4* LB + airport @ $65 rejected

3rd bid: 4* LB,airport+torrance @ $70 ACCEPTED :)
