MRJG933 Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 Due to the retail price of $369, I was confident that the offer that I had was for one of the Loews properties onsite at Universal. The $369 was an exact match for my dates (12/23-12/25) at Portofino. After reading these boards, and checking the amenities, (fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, golf, tennis, business center) it really seems like my offer is for the Peabody. But the rates at the Peabody retail at $110-$130. The Hotwire offer is for $108 and they list it as a 71% discount. I know that they sometimes exaggerate the list prices, but can it be this extreme? Am I missing something?
thereuare Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 The retail prices can not be relied up to identify the HOTWIRE properties as per this Hotwire Retail Prices thread. As well, the Potofino has previously been reported with different amenities than you posted above (which are differernt than i see on a current HOTWIRE search) and at a different star rating... best guess is that this is not the Portofino. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
