thereuare Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 Sorry, i've been vacationing and didn't have time to respond sooner (dial-up along with an old laptop will wear on your patience). This hotel hasn't yet been identified, and started showing up back in October when it came up in this HOTWIRE THREAD. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
cfory Posted January 3, 2004 Author Report Posted January 3, 2004 Thanks for trying...I am still 3 months away so I may hold off for a bit until we figure out what this place is. If it really is a 4* it may be a good deal...Take care and thanks for your all your work here. I have found a ton of info here that has saved me time and sanity when it comes to hotel accomodations!!
kewl-1 Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 Update: Sorry, just realized that the Peabody was a 4 1/2 star property, not a 4 star property, so my reply is not applicable. Perhaps thereuare can delete this post. Thanks, Kewl-1----------------------------------------Just joined this board and saw your post. I did a 4 star on Hotwire back in October in the Universal area and got the Peabody Orlando hotel. It is on International Drive directly across from the convention center, and not adjacent to Universal. But, since it is a Peabody, it is a LUXURY hotel. Very comfortable, excellent service, String quartet playing in the lobby nightly and of course, the reknowned procession of the Peabody Ducks daily. They do have free self parking which is atypical of large luxury hotels. You can't go wrong at this place for anything under $100 a night. I think I paid in the mid $70 range on Hotwire in October. Hope this helps!
