drjhwang Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 After 3 days of bidding up to 190 and failing, I started at 150 today. Priceline countered by asking for an additional 25, but I raised the bid to 160 and got the Grand Hyatt.

Here was my sequence of bids:MTW $150 -- rejectedadd UES $160 -- rejectedadd UWS $170 -- rejectedclosed browser and restartedMTE $150 -- rejected, asked to raise to $175add UES $160 -- acceptedBased on my and a few other people's experiences, it seems clear that Grand Hyatt just opened some inventory (or lowered its price) for the 10/5 weekend.
