blindman Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 Whilst theruare is getting his beauty sleep :) I'll ask a few Q'sWhat prices have you been bidding? What are the prices for the 'usual suspect' hotels in Boston for that day?Have you had any counter offers ( I assume not)What are the rates on Hotwire?
thereuare Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 Please let us know the answers to the questions blindman posted above and we'll try to assist further... most importantly what bid amounts you have already made. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
climbergirl Posted September 29, 2006 Author Report Posted September 29, 2006 i have been bidding a few days. the latest bidding, i started my bid price at 90100110120130140prior to that, according to some of the prices won from the board, i started my bids lower70758595105115usual suspects? well, there is the westin copley place, fairmont, marriotno counter offers.hotwire only listed 2* hotel in the copley area
blindman Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 What are the prices for the 'usual suspect' hotels in Boston for that dayYou need to research the rates for that day of the likely hotels that come upon priceline to see if they are abnormally high, or if there's a restriction to booking just one night (?) as your bids and Hotwire returns seem to suggest there is (at present) no inventory for Priceline.Ask your friend if there's a College reunion or other high attendance seminar in town, though you seem to have checked this already.PL works when there's available inventory, maybe (for some reason) there isn't
climbergirl Posted September 29, 2006 Author Report Posted September 29, 2006 thanks blindman, i didn't think about special events. Look what i found- Boston to host international 5K on October 15, 2006, explains my lack of good deals for my week. looks like i'll be staying at my friends place the entire time
