Priceline Hotel: 4* Denver (Downtown) Grand Hyatt

I was trying to get the whole week of the Great American Beer Fest, Sept. 25 - Oct. 1. I bid $69 for a 4*, $59 for a 3*, changed my dates and increased prices a bit, kept loosing. Finally I bid $81 for just the Friday and Sat. night and won...wahoo!! :o This is good because a lot of places are sold out. I tried to win Sept. 25 - 29 with an $80 bid and lost again. :)

Then I drove around downtown Denver and found some mom and pop motels that run $35 - $50 that are close to downtown, and I'll stay in one of those for the weekdays, specifically, the Rosedale Motel 303 433-8345 is $39, not listed on any travel sites, and is less than a mile from Coors Stadium. It's a little shaky, but not too bad. On Colfax the Budget Host All In at 3015 E. Colfax is only $35, but it's a 4 story hotel and further away with a scary elevator. :)

I'm figuring it's saved me $55 plus per night. :)
