Airfare used to consistently be $300 or less for this route (use our Airfare Checker) but it now looks like rates are closer to $400 (non-stop) or $350 (one stop). You may also want to check Southwest which will likely have decent airfare for this route, but then you have to fly out of Islip, which i don't if it is an option for you or not (and make sure you factor in the costs of getting to this airport too, as if not driving, it is often more expensive than one of EWR, JFK, and LGA depending upon where you're coming from).

For a hotel figure $150-$200, likely closer to the higher end (use our Las Vegas Rate Checker).

If that is within your budget let us know and we'll provide further details.

Thanks thereuare for the reply...

So in total i am lookin at a package price of 600 per person.....which i think can be squeezed into.......for the appropriate deal...so is it still better to book seperate than flight + hotel....

i would like to take a look at the offered packages.

With a little flexabilty you should be able to get a airfare in the low $300s per per person. As far as the hotel, if it were me, I wouldn't budget more than $100 per night because you can always find a deal, if not on priceline then on one of the other hotel sites, but it's up to you to decide which hotel you want and where on the strip you want to be. I think the Tropicana rooms are dated, but still a very good deal compared with the other hotels surrounding it. The average rates for all the major Casinos on that weekend is about $200 per night, so you can book a lower price backup like the Tropicana for $139 (avg.) per night, then use priceline to see if you can get a better rate, but I'm not sure you will have much luck for a 4 star hotel unless you go somewhere in the mid-$100 per night range.

So if you go to Priceline and HOTWIRE and search their packages... what are you coming up with? I don't think you'll get a better deal by booking a package, but let us know what you find and we'll try to help you beat it.

As far as the Tropicana... the Garden Rooms are pretty shabby. If you do have to stay there (and i don't recommend it) you at least want a tower room. I'd sooner book a refundable 4* hotel and then try to beat it later.
