bernice Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Have used Priceline in the past , but I see they have changed the zones since my last use four years ago.Looking for :Disneyland area 3*12/24/06 to 12/30/06willing to bid up to $55I realize it may be a stretch due to holiday time and length of stay.I have possible Entertainment rate for Crowne Plaza for $74/nt ( plus resort fee of $9, includes shuttle) or Holiday Inn (on Walnut) for $69/nt (pay for ART for 4 people).Or Hilton (convention center) $99/ nt pre pay internet rate. Thanks for your help on bidding strategies!

thereuare Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. If you ultimately use a service other than where the thread is we'll move the entire thread to that section of the once a hotel is won.The HOTWIRE hotels you list are not going to be in the same quality level as the hotels you mention in your first post... are they legitimate possibilities for you?Since you're seeking quad occupancy, are you comfortable using Priceline since they only guarantee double occupancy? You seem to be considering a very wide variety of possibilities... what is it exactly that you're looking for from this stay? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
bernice Posted September 22, 2006 Author Report Posted September 22, 2006 Just trying to find a hotel on a budet :lolThe 3* on hotwire came out to be higher than anticipated, tried to match the 2* based on the list but couldn't figure it out.. haven't used Hotwire before.I have possible hotels lined up but curious if I can get Priceline 3*bid for $55, with possibility of requesting 2 beds (have done so succesfully in the past, Marriot and Hilton near convention center).Or keep bid lower ($40 tops) and pay for 2 rooms.I know either option is not the best scenerio for using Priceline. My plans are not firm yet and I do have time to do muliple bids on Priceline.Hope that makes sense.
thereuare Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Please let us know when your plans are firm... prices may change between now and the time you're ready to bid and any strategy should be based upon the most current rates; as well any HOTWIRE hotels offered at this time may not be the same properties offered by the time your plans are finalized. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
