Can you pros help me develop a bidding strategy for a 4 or 3* hotel? Even though it may be reaching for an impossiblity, I would like my highest bid to be $180/night. Only if nothing comes up will I up the price to 200.We aren't very picky about location. As long as we stay in Manhattan and no further north than the Upper West/East Side. We are looking for a 3 night stay and maybe a 4th night (if the price is right). I say maybe a 4th night because we planned to stay the night at a friends house on our last night in the city. Do you recommend bidding for all 4 nights at once or should I only bid for 3 and see if they offer up a 4th night at the same price? Any advice, suggestions, tips, comments, questions, etc... are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It's not clear which you prefer and what would make you choose a fourth nite vs. staying with your friend.Is Downtown just as acceptable as midtown?Are you willing to pay for more for a 4* hotel, or are you really just looking for the least expensive 3* or better hotel as possible? Downtown is just as acceptable b/c we don't mind subway or walking. We also want to do the 4 nights so we don't have to bug our friend. The exact nights are check in 11/28 and check out on 12/2 (that's 4 nights). Thanks!
