I know that the Sheraton University City and Hilton Inn at Penn are in the zone, but are there others? Has anyone successfully bid and gotten the Hilton Inn at Penn? If so, what was your successful bid? I bid up to $95 for this zone for Oct. 1 - 2, but was unsuccessful. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Link to comment

dahammer Posted September 22, 2006 Report Share Posted September 22, 2006 HOTWIRE has a 3.5* customer favorite for $108 with the following amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, High-Speed Internet, Business, Tennis. This is probably the Sheraton, formerly Wyndham Franklin Plaza, a short cab ride to University City. Your stay is a Sunday night, one of the slowest nights in the hotel industry. Is it maybe because there are few hotels in this zone or that there is something going on at Penn that you are not getting a winning bid, can't say for sure. You could always stay in center city and take the Market Frankford "EL" to the 32nd or 40th street stops, $4.00 round trip and frequent service. Link to comment
