Priceline Hotel: bidding Help 3* NYC November 17 to 20

Hi

this is my first post so I hope I've made this clear and easy

Can I have some advice please on what what price I should begin my bidding at for a 3* for November 17-20th ?

Zones we are looking at are: MTW, MTS,

Any help is greatly appreciated

What is your maximum bid?

Is the a reason you're avoiding MTE and/or UM/CPS zone(s)? These two zones are bid more often than MTS, although many bid all four as NYC is very convenient and accessible by mass transit... more zones gives you more bidding opportunities as well as more hotels able to accept your bid.

Let us know answers to the above and we'll be in a better position to suggest a strategy for you to follow.

$189 TZ4Q Promotion at "The Mansfield" on your dates. A boutique hotel in central Manhattan. I saw this on Travelzoo. Hope this helps.

maximum bid would be $230 USD a night- pls let me know if this is too low

would also consider MTE

I know that public transport is very accesible but we would like to stay around the MTE, MTW, MTS due to mobility issues

One last question before suggesting a strategy...

Have you looked closely at the priceline zones? UM/CPS is just as, if not more so, convenient than MTS (imo). You know your plans/needs better than i do so only you can decide if which zones are best for you, but for most the two zones are equally 'convenient'... just want to make sure we're able to maximize your bidding opportunities as well as help you get the best deal possible.

At the 3* level you have one re-bid zone available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Hi,

I completed my 1st bid for 3* $120 MTW which was rejected

now I'm about to complete the add re-bid zone but i'm a little confused

i can't seem to be able to see the star rating for an area?

From Priceline Re-Bidding Explained:

The way to check what star levels are available in each zone is to open a Priceline page, check ONLY the zone you are inquiring about, and then proceed to the next page (as if you were going to select a zone)... this will give you the available star ratings in that area. You can then hit BACK on your browser, uncheck the current box, check the next box, and repeat the process. It is important to do this before EACH attempt at adding a zone that you really don't want, as new hotels can be added and the star ratings can change at any time.

If you're new to the concept of re-bidding, it is highly recommened you confirm your re-bid zone with the board before bidding again.
