Low Bids

Has anyone ever been accepted on a very low bid? Thought occurred to me (and maybe others) that you might get 'lucky' once in a while. Airlines sometimes have incredible fares and some very fortunate people get fantastic deals. They usually go on message boards after the fare has been pulled, of course. Just a thought. If some hotels load prices on a daily basis, is there a chance you could be the one who lands the deal?!

Priceline has minimum bids programmed into their system, so it'll be hard to find any major price errors.

I can't find the page listing them now, but from looking at their html code, I think these may be the minimums:

1 Star = $15

2 Star = $17

2.5 Star = $19

3 Star = $25

3.5 Star = $30 (although it looks like their html code is set for $50)

4 Star = $40

Resort = $40

5 Star = $55
