thereuare Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding! What is your maximum bid? Do you have a back-up reservation anywhere? (if so, where and how much?)Rates are high for these dates. However, HOTWIRE has a 3* in the NMA-Water Tower-Gold Coast zone for $154/nite. No guarantees, but the amenities shown are a match for what has previously been reported for the Hotel Indigo, for which the reviews appear to be very good. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.If the above doesn't work for your needs please let us know the answers to the other questions (maximum bid, back-up reservation) and we'll take it from there.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 I'd recommend going with the Indigo. Very nice hotel in a nice area and the HOTWIRE price is about half of what the hotel's regular rates are for those dates on the Indigo website.
bigbear338 Posted September 20, 2006 Author Report Posted September 20, 2006 Hi, thanks for replying.my max bid is $135. I don't have a backup place. I plan to try $140 for 3*+ tomorrow. If no luck, will go hotwire for that $150 3*.I also guess that 3* in hotwire is Indigo.
bigbear338 Posted September 21, 2006 Author Report Posted September 21, 2006 finally, hotwire $150 for 3*it's indigo, as you guys expected.thanks for you all to help me.
AaronJB Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Thank you for reporting your purchase to the board. Hope you enjoy your stay! :)There's two nice grocery stores (Jewel on the NW corner of Clark and Division and Treasure Island on the SE corner of Clark and Elm) right nearby if you want to pick up snacks. There's also a Walgreens half a block South and a CVS Pharmacy on the SE corner of Clark/Division.The nearest subway station is also @ Clark/Division.
